Sick Baby

Today we've had a little girl with a fever. She is now finally asleep - it is almost midnight - but she has been kind of clingy, sleepy and hot to the touch all day long, even with baby tylenol. We checked in with her dr's office a couple times today and were reassured that she is just fighting an infection of some kind, the fever doesn't matter even if it climbs really high, and our job is just to help her feel comfortable and get sleep and drink a lot. It's hard to hold her hot little body and not worry about her though - I never worried like this before I had a kiddo, that is for sure!

Overall she still seemed to have a good day though - we were out on the deck a lot in the breeze and coloring and singing, mostly. She did take a total of 7 hours of naps today though! (She normally takes a total of 3-4 hours a day.) But then was up until late too.... Hopefully she will feel better soon, although her pediatrician said it is common for toddlers to have a high fever and feel yucky for 3-4 days. Poor baby.
